You Stay Classy......Planet Earth!

Bashore BrewHaus'
Fancy Dress New Years Eve Gala
and
2nd Anniversary Party

Hey There Everyone,

Its time to celebrate and December 31st marks the end of 2010 and the anniversary of the first time that beer flowed from the taps of the bunker known as the Bashore BrewHaus.

To celebrate, this year we will be throwing a fancy dress themed party. We'd like to keep the requirements on the dress pretty loose, but feel free to do as much as possible for this. Ties, sweaters and sport coats are encouraged for ...the the gents but full tuxedos would be a sight to see and dresses, skirts and fancy shoes are encouraged for the misses (FYI, if your shoes scuff the floor in the basement we'll ask you politely to remove them).

Most of the details of this shin dig are still in the works, but we like everyone to bring a dish to pass....the fancier the better. We'll be having a beer pong (water pong) tournament starting at 8:30....cause what more classy then beer pong?

As always we'll be serving 5 house brews, champagne (if anyone wants to bring some that can be your dish to pass) and an assortment of specialty shots and drinks as well as craft root beer for certain friends. The beers that will be on tap at this party are as follows:

Rock n' Roll Jesus English Barleywine
Halstead's Hearty Ale
O' Holy Night Spiced Dunkelweizen
Azreal Imperial Maple Munich Porter
Our 2nd Anniversary Ale known as Cheeky Monkey which is a raspberry Belgian Ale.

I hope you can all make it out and please feel free to post what dish you'd like to bring when you decide!

Cheers!

On Tap this Weekend: O' Holy Night

O' Holy Night
Spiced Dunkelweizen
5% ABV

Let's keep this Christmas train rollin' along. Another beer that is a must for me is a good German Wheat beer and the season calls for a Dunkelweizen! O' Holy Night is a very non tradition German Dunkelweizen. Unlike the brewmiesters from across the pond that use only the 4 basic ingredients in all of there beers, I decided to turn this brew up to 11! O' Holy Night is spiced with cinnamon and star anise. Also, in order to give the beer a bit more of a richer flavor I used Mexican turbinado sugar. The resulting beer is subtle, malty, and delicious. From a personal perspective....I'm glad I misjudged my volumes and have 6 gallons rather than 5 gallons of this beer.

Spiced for the Season

Now on Tap: Azreal

Now on Tap
Azreal Imperial Munich Porter
w/ Maple added
8% ABV

Something that has been weighing heavy on me is that we don't have any Stouts or Porters on tap right now.....well problem solved! I introduced Azreal. This is an Imperial Porter that uses Germany Munich malt as its primary base malt in order to give the beer a richer, more malty flavor. Then, in order to make this beer even more decadent pure maple syrup was added to the beer in the keg. The resulting beer is powerful with flavored of maple (obviously), sweet chocolate and roasted dark malts. This beer shouldn't be taken lightly, too much will have you crawling across the floor. Its not bad.....just doing its job!

Halloween Thanks

Just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for dressing up and coming out to the Halloween Party. Everyone's costumes looked great!! Last year we threw an Oktoberfest party and I was not nearly as satisfied with it as I was with this get together. We tore through quit a bit a beer and had a lot of fun. Thanks again and I can't wait to do it all again for New Years!

Cheers!!

I'll make sure to have more 80's and 90's Hip Hop playing next time!!

On Tap this Saturday 10/30/10

Halstead's Hearty Indian Brown Ale
4.75% ABV

Let's keep the ball rolling on the Patron Inspiration Series. In this exciting installment we bring you Halstead's Hearty Indian Brown Ale named for our good friends John and Lijana Halstead. The interesting thing about this addition to our collection is that John and Lijana don't drink beer.....or any liquor for that matter. Normally, you would think, "what in tar-nation are these guys doing hanging out Bashore BrewHaus?" The simple answer to that question is that we are just so cool, who wouldn't want to be around us?

In all seriousness, these are two of the best people that we have the privileged to be around. It goes to show you that its not about beer at the bunker, it's about good friends being goofy, dancing, joking and having good time and the Halstead's are at the top of the list when it comes to having fun. They never act like they are uncomfortable or out of place around all the drunken hooligans that are usually hanging around. They just go with the flow all the while injecting some of there own Halstead excitement into the place! (insert funny comment from John)

In honor of John and Lijana I made a dry hopped Indian Brown Ale. This beer looks like a regular sessionable brown ale right down to the lowish alcohol. That's where the similarities stop. This beer has an intense hop aroma and flavor with hints of chocolate and roasted malts that come from the grains. I really do think this beer is pretty delicious. I've only had samples of it warm without carbonation and I really enjoyed it.....which can't be said for most beers I brew. I know John and Lijana won't be drinking any of this ale, but they should be able to get a good idea about it from the smell.

Cheers to You Crazy Kids!

If it's Brown drink it down, if its black......send it back!!

NOW ON TAP: K-Roc Da House

Now on Tap!!
K-Roc Da House
Belgian Singel
5.25% ABV

The newest beer in our Patron Inspiration Series is a beer dedicated to our good friend and fellow Spartan Alumni Karen Thomas. Karen has been right by our sides through the course of our drinking/beer evolution. Whether we were singing at Crunchy's in college or attending beer festivals in temperatures well below freezing Karen was right there to sip and judge every beer that we were. Even now that beer has become more than just a drinking "thing" and has become about crafting fine ales and having events for friends to get together and tell stories over a pint or two. Karen is still there to give her opinion, whether she's sober or not......usually not!!

One of the things that I've always found to be funny about Karen is her intense, unbridled love for cool refreshing Triple Hopped brewed Miller Lite! Don't get me wrong Karen is willing to try any beer and she usually responses with her catch phrase, "it's good, but I couldn't drink a lot of it". But her love for the cheap stuff burns hotter than 10,000 cases of Herpes. Its always been hard for me to figure out why she couldn't bridge the gap and become a strictly craft drinker. Then the other day I had a Miller Lite and it occurred to me why she likes it so much. It tastes like water!! Karen loves Water.....Of Course!!

All kidding aside, it would be a waste of my and your time to make a beer that tastes like water. So I set out to try and recreate one of the first session beers, the Belgian Trappist Singel. Belgian beers are known for being sweet and complex due to the different sugars and yeasts used in the country. The Belgian Singel is what Trappist monks would/will drink during the day when they were brewing. It is light and refreshing with an up front "fruity" flavor followed by a slight hop bitterness. My goal for this beer if for Karen to utter the words, " I could drink this all day".......we'll see!!

Triple Hops.......Belgian Style!!

Over the final week of October we'll be transforming the BrewHaus into a terrifying dungeon. Whats being held captive? Six tasty brews! Do you have to courage to come and free them?

All guests are required to wear a costume and bring a dish to pass. There will be a costume contest and for this contest every attendant will get a vote to cast for there favorite costume. Tap List for Bashore BrewHaus Spooky Halloween Party

We’re still working on a logo and labels for the Halloween Party at the end of October, but we thought the least we could do is post the beers that will be on tap for the party. This will be the first party and maybe the last party to have 6 beers on tap.

BaumGartner Hefeweizen – this is a Bavarian wheat ale that has quickly become one of my favorites, but I’m partial to wheat beer. Light, fruity and easy drinking.

Rock N’ Roll Jesus – a big sweet and smokey English Barleywine…..the savior of all beer? Not sure about that, but at 11% this one will put you on your ass quick if you’re not careful.

Cuvee de Guerre – the Qaudruple is still around and getting better everyday. Tons and tons of dark fruit and barrel age character…..as Irene says…it’ll pop your cherry!

Cuvee de Brasseur – an American wild ale that hasn’t really been the hit I’d hoped for…this may be that last you see of this beer….not sure….what to do???

K-Roc da House – a Belgian Single made for our friend Karen Thomas. What’s that you say…you’ve never heard of a Single. It’s because there aren't many if any commercial examples. This is truly a vanishing style, it’s what monks would drink all day while they brewed doubles, triples and quadruples!

Halsteads Hearty Ale – this is an Indian Brown, that will just scoot into the tap lineup for the day. We brewed this beer for two of our good friends that ironically enough don’t drink beer…..but are tremendous company, John and Lijana Halstead. This beer should be extremely fresh for Halloween so it should be very hoppy, but hopefully will have enough chocolate and malt notes to make it unique.

Happy Halloween

Cuvee de Brasseur # 3 Unbottled

This weekend Irene and I opened a bottle of the new beer to come from the barrel Cuvee de Brasseur #3. Somewhere along the way this beer became super doooooper acidic and basically resembled something close to nail polish remover. Needless to say, I have a few ideas of how to use some of the raw acid qualities of this beer, but it will never see anyone's mouth on its own ever. Sorry!

Now in Bottles 8/13/10

Big Papa's Twisted Summertime Ale
4.5 % ABV
Available in 22oz. bottles

The 3rd beer in our patron inspiration series is dedicated to one of the two people responsible for giving me life. Big Papa's Twisted Summertime Ale is dedicated to my dad, Jerry Bashore. To be completely fair he probably knows as much about brewing beer as any other guy on the street and he'll be the first to tell that in his day beer was yellow and fizzy and probably came for St. Louis. My dad was a life time "Bud Man", I like to think I had a little to do with changing that. Not that he is into searching out crazy beers with off the wall flavor profiles, but he's willing to at least sample most things and he really enjoys a nice wheat/summery beer.

It's always been his philosophy that he needs to at least try every beer I make and although he hasn't tried them all, he is pretty honest with what he thinks...its usually, "that's not too bad", "that doesn't even taste like beer" or "I almost spit that back out". Regardless of his response to my ales it always puts a smile on my face to see him try something new and that is totally enough to inspire me to keep trying to make new and cool brews because even though I brew for myself (the beers I like), 51% of what makes me happy about brewing is watching people try each beer and getting a reaction.

When it came time to brew him something it was actually quit simple. Make something low in alcohol and try and add enough depth in flavor that he'd still like it and I'd still think it was interesting. What we ended up brewing started with a basic Blonde Ale recipe and then we tweaked it a bit and added two different kinds of Belgian Crystal malts and some sweet orange peel. The resulting beer is an optical allusion. Almost dark brown in color, but it tastes like a summer wheat ale with a little bit of hop bitterness on the back end. Its a great beer for summer, but I really think it'll stand the test of the seasons. I would really encourage everyone to stop in and have a bottle with me or another friend and give me your honest feelings on it or make a face or spit it back into your glass......regardless its your reaction that makes me happy. Thanks Dad!! I love you!!

Beer Olympics 2010 Wrap Up

Saturday July, 10th marked the Bashore BrewHaus' 2nd Annual Beer Olympics. This years event was divided up into team events and individual events. Overall, the day seemed to be much more successful than last years event because we eliminated a lot of down time, decreased the drinking a bit so that people weren't vomiting 30 minutes into the event and we were also able to insure that all players could play whatever events they wanted to play. The day started off with picking the 4 teams. The team colors were Black (Blackout), Red (The Red Snappers), Blue (Blue Balls) & Green (The Big, Green, Bumpy, Sweet Pickle). After that we had a video opening ceremony created by Randolph C. Flick II.

When the dust had settled on the day the results were as follows:

Team Winner: Blackout

Beer Darts Winner: John Maksimchuck

Volume Chug Winner: Matt Junak

Beer Trivia Winner: Irene Bashore

Name That Beer Winner: Jamie Wilmoth

Beirut Winner: Matt Bashore

Beer Pong Winner: Matt Bashore

On behalf of both Irene and I we are very happy everyone could make it out. Thank you for you company, the delicious food you brought and the competitive intensity you brought! We'll see you all next year when we do it again!!

NOW ON TAP
Baumgartner Hefeweizen
5.0% ABV
Now that Beer Olympics is officially in the books and we don't have to worry about the guest tap of Coors Light on tap we can put something new on tap and specifically for summer. Baumgartner Hefeweizen is a tradition German wheat bier brewed using a single decoction mash in order to give this beer a malty, sweet character. In addition, Baumgartner is great wheat character along with hints of banana and cloves. At 5% ABV it is a perfect session beer for a hot summer day! Stop in and enjoy one on the deck!

Now in Bottles

Now Available in 12 oz. bottles

Cletus Joe's Bourbon Barrel Russian Imperial Stout

13.5% ABV

Just in time for the warmth of summer comes a treat that should really be enjoyed on a cold winter evening. Cletus Joe's BB RIS is our house Russian Imperial Stout Kremlin Joe's aged for 6 months in French oak chips that were soaked in Makers Mark Bourbon. The resulting beer has huge whiskey nose, but the flavor is very delicate and complex with tastes of wood, vanilla, chocolate, toffee, and roasted grains.

At the moment this is the highest alcohol beer we've ever produced at 13.5% ABV and for that reason we decided to bottle it in 12 oz. bottles....and more than one or two bottles and you'll be in for a rough night.

On a side not I split a bottle last night with a friend and this beer is really amazing. The nose is a bit misleading as it smells like its gonna be straight bourbon. However, the flavor is not that hot at all. The after taste still has a nice bourbon burn and you know its there, but its actually a highly drinkable barrel aged stout. A real treat that will hopefully age gracefully and provide a couple of years of solid enjoyment. Stop in and enjoy one sometime!

Cheers!

Now on Tap - 5/7/10

PineApple Express batch #2
Pine Apple Bier de Garde
8.5% ABV
Back on tap at The Bashore BrewHaus is an old favorite. PineApple Express is a slightly tart pine apple bier de garde. The first batch of PineApple Express was bottled a little under a year ago and really started out as more of an accident than a planed success. The beer was formulated and the bulk of the beer was blended in our funky wine barrel. The rest of the beer....~2 gallons was infused with pineapple and allowed to referment for about 2 weeks. The resulting beer was sharply tart and citrusy.
I set out to recreate this success. Long story made short, I failed....PineApple Express #2 is a different beer. It is less tart and has more pineapple favor. Like the first batch it is surprisingly deceptive with the alcohol because it is very sessionable. Still a very good beer by all accounts, but if you drink it expecting PineApple Express batch#1 you will be disappointed. This version is much more of a summer ale with nice notes of citrus, pineapple and malt. I actually think both beers have there merits, but #1 was the best sour I ever created. The mission is not over.....I will try again, but in the meantime stop by and try the failure!! Maybe you'll like it!

3 Floyd's Dark Lord Day 2010 April 24th

Dark Lord Day 2010 will be on April 24th.

Dark Lord Day is the only day of the year to buy Three Floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial stout. DLD is a festival where participants can meet other beer enthusiasts, sample beers from all over the world, buy Dark Lord, try Oak Aged Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout, eat BBQ, listen to live music, and generally have a great time. Visit http://www.darklordday.com/ for more information.

The only way to ensure that you'll get some Darklord is to purchase a ticket online. The proceeds from the sale of these tickets go to a local charity. These tickets will go on sale on March 17th. The time of the sale is yet to be announced. We will announce the sales details of the tickets on Twitter followed by posts on the Darklord day web site as well as the Rate Beer and Beer Advocate web sites.

Golden tickets went on sale at 8:05pm EST on March 17th and the servers quickly crumbled under the traffic. Within about an hour the tickets were gone.

You can still come out to Dark Lord Day and have a fun time at the event, and if there is still Dark Lord left at 5pm sales will open to anyone without a golden ticket.

Additional details will be added as they become available.

Cuvee de Guerre

9.5% ABV

New on tap this week is Cuvee de Guerre or loosely translated "War from Wine". Cuvee de Guerre is our winter quadruple, WarChild aged for 4 months on French Oak staves that have been soaked in cherry wine. For the sake of simplicity we'll just say that Cuvee de Guerre was aged for 4 months in cherry wine barrels. This offering is rather limited as only 3 gallons of this beer was produced. Make sure to stop in an grab a pour before it's all gone forever.

New Poll Question

I know its been a while, but there is a new poll question posted on the blog. I have a few beers that have been aging for quit some time because I haven't had room to put them on tap and I'm considering bottling at least one of them.....thats where the poll came from.

Cheers!

Now on Tap 3/31/10

NOW ON TAP

Cuvee de Brasseur #2 - Kriek Version
The time has finally come, this beer is over a year in the making. Cuvee de Brassuer is an ongoing wild ale/funky barrel project that we've been toying around with. Batch #1 of this beer was put into bottles as both a raw wild ale and also as a raspberry version(framboise). This time around I decided to completely drain the barrel and referment with 3 pounds of dark sour cherries. The resulting beer is very tart and acidic with flavors of oak, wine tannins, cherries and just general funkiness that happens as a barrel is exposed to the environment around it.
The first two batches of this beer are a blend of 4 different beers over the past year and a half including.....PineApple Express, Red Ryder, Bashore BrewHaus Belgian Red and FiddleStix Lemon Grass Wheat Beer. All these beers were blended together and aged with wild bacteria and yeast to create a sour, acidic and funky flavor!! Because I do not know how much of each beer is in this blend I have no idea what the ABV of this beer is.....somewhere between 5 and 10 percent.
This beer may not be for everyone, but I am personally very proud of the way it turned out and it was truely a labor of patience and spontaneous fermentation. It is also very exciting to us to think that in a little less than a month both Cuvee de Brasseur and PineApple Express #2 will be on tap......two sour ales......one small basement brewhaus!!

2nd Annual Bashore BrewHaus St. Patty's Bash

Get out yer Dancin' Shoes, put on yer drinkin caps and dust off those green clothes because its time again for the Bashore BrewHaus St. Patty's Bash. It always seems that the moment March hits we begin thinkin about Spring being right around the corner and we figure the quickest way to usher in the warmer weather is by drinkin' so much that you can't remember a whole day completely.....just kidding.....not really. Even though St. Patricks Day is on a Wednesday this year we always want to do our best to celebrate one of the truely great drinking holidays, so we'll be throwing our bash on March 20th and we'll be startin at 11am with a beer brunch that will last until 1pm.

The St. Patty's Bash is really a mixed bag of activities. We usually start out with some hearty food and a couple of cold ones to get the day rolling. Then we fire up the Irish tunes, pour some Jameson, break out the Solo cups and get to it with some heavy drinking, drinking games and Irish jigging! Usually, all things subside after a few hours giving way to rest, relaxation, darts, pool, singing and SPARTAN BASKETBALL (March Madness!!!)

One thing is for sure....this party is a marathon of good times, good feelings and good friends. We really hope to see as many friendly faces as possible on March 20th. Here's a list of the Tap's for the day.

Palate Pulverizer - Our homegrown IPA that was brewed for our New Years Eve party, and even though it has some age now its still drinking quit well.
Birth Right - this is our first attempt at a draft cider and it has been recieved quit well. High in alcohol, dry and sweet. More of an apple wine then a cider, but still delicious.
Baptized by Fire - this is a london red ale. Don't let the name fool you this beer is actually very sessionable and should be drank in mass quantities.
MattStar - this is a Belgian Imperial Stout named for our good friend Matt Junak. Roasty and complex and not for the faint of heart.
The Amazing Rando - this is a sweet stout brewed for our Brother Randolph C. Flick II with bananas and banana extract and is being served on nitro taps at the brewhaus to give it a sweet creamy flavor.
I do have an additional surprise for the taps and the ladies should especially enjoy it, but I only have 5 taps and they are all full right now so to get to that surprise we're gonna have to drink some of the other beer....its free so I'm guessing noone will mind. Please be encouraged to bring food either for the brunch or just to snack on all day. We'd also like to do a cheers every hour starting at noon whether it be Irish or otherwise.....so if you've got a good one, bring it and lead us in a drink.
Slainte!!!

Now On Tap: 2/22/10

The Amazing Rando Manana and Cream Stout - 6.25% ABV

New on tap this week is the second beer in our Patron Inspiration Series. This beer is named for the creative master mind behind all of the fantastic artwork you see for every Bashore Brewing beer. The Amazing Rando is named for Mr. Randolph Clyde Flick II. I really believe that every creative label that Randy designs really adds to the appeal of every beer that we create and in most cases the artwork is probably better than the beer. Up until now all we could do is say, "thanks Randy, that looks awesome". This beer has given me the chance to create something that I believe Randy will really enjoy. You see Randy is your typical beer drinker with a few exceptions. The majority of the time we go to the bar Randy will ask Irene or I what he should order and then he will promptly get a Miller Lite or a Labatt, but Randy would be the first to tell you that he is a liquor drinker.....not really a beer drinker. The exception to this rule for Randy is Guinness. Randy enjoys a pint of Guinness as much as anyone I've ever met......in fact Randy enjoys most mellow stouts almost as much as he enjoys a White Russian.

Since I'm no good at making liquor I thought why not make him a mellow, yet flavorful stout and serve it on nitro tap in the BrewHaus. Thus was born The Amazing Rando Manana and Cream Stout. This is a beer I'm very proud of as it was my first effort at a Milk Stout and I think it turned out pretty good. The Amazing Rando is a creamy, sweet stout with several layers of flavor. The smell is that of coffee and bananas and the flavor follows suit with the added taste of chocolate and roasted grains. It is for all purposes a session stout that is meant to be drank much it the same way you would drink a Guinness.......all night long. I really hope for everybody who drinks this beer will take the time to appreciate the effort that went into making it and also the effort that goes into every label that Randy designs. From all of us, THANK YOU RANDY, THAT LOOKS AWESOME!!!!

Now on Tap 2/13/10

MattStar Belgian Imperial Stout - 9% ABV

Oh Captain My Captain! Just in time for Valentines Day we are releasing the first beer in our Patron Inspiration Series of beers with MattStar, a Belgian Imperial Stout named for our good friend Matt Junak. On a personal note, ever brewer has his beginning and for me Matt was the person that got me started brewing beer. Matt had been brewing beer off and on with his brother for years. Brewing beer really started to interest me after I had discovered craft beer about 5 years ago and Matt said making beer was really easy. So with a little help from Irene (bought me my first home brew kit), Matt directed me down the path of crafting my first ale. That was about 4 years ago and it was an extract pale ale kit that we purchased from Michigan Brewing Company called TC's Pale Ale. Matt gave me several pointers and showed me how to force carbonate a keg......much easier than bottling. Over that first year we both brewed beers and shared them with each other. Some were successes, but most were not (Smokey Oakie, my overly boozy stout, my weird buttery tasting red ale). Regardless of how bad the beer was, Matt was always here to try a pint and tell me what he thought in his own way.

Since that first year we've gone in opposite directions with our brewing. Matt would probably say I brew too much and I would say....."damn Matt when you gonna make another brown ale to put on tap at the brewhaus?" Matt still brews from time to time, but other interests have filled his life (lasers & Gabby). However, once in a blue moon we get lucky enough over here to be able to put one of Matt's beers on tap. Regardless of how much we talk or see each other I always feel like Matt will be that to share a pint and shoot the shit with . Cheers to you Matty....AKA MattStar Junberg!

MattStar is a Belgian Imperial Stout with several very unique qualities. Its not as thick as some of the other stouts we make, but it has a great roasted flavor, with hints of dark and dried fruit. It also has a hoppy aspect to it that is uncommon in stout. Matt described it as being very similar to Founders Breakfast Stout, but still different. He said it definitely tastes like beer, which is a complement from Matt. MattStar went on tap today, so stop in and enjoy a pint with Matt, Irene and I.

ON TAP: 2/6/10

Just in time for the Super Bowl we'll be releasing our second beer of the year. Baptized by Fire which is a London Red Ale. This beer is malty and easy drinking. It pours a deep amber-brownish color and can be drank in high quantities because of its low alcohol and relative smoothness. Stop in anytime and enjoy a pint! Also, feel free to stop in and enjoy the big game this Sunday. We still have lots of beer on tap and all 5 taps will be pouring a wide variety of brew and one cider. Cheers!

On Tap 1/23/10

The first new ON TAP of the new year is not a beer. Who woulda thunk it? Next Saturday we'll be putting our first attempt at a draft cider on tap. BirthRight is a draft cider made from Uncle John's Cider in St. Johns, MI. We heat pasteurized the cider to eliminate any wild yeast strains and added cinnamon, cane sugar and honey and then fermented it with an English ale yeast strain. The resulting beverage is sweet up front and finishes bone dry with tastes of cinnamon and apples.

BirthRight is probably actually closer to an apple wine, but I've never tasted it carbonated which could make a huge difference in the flavor and mouth feel of the cider. Regardless, this will be a nice change of pace from all that boring beer and hopefully will allow some of our patrons that don't care for beer to enjoy something fermented at Bashore Brewing.

Also, because we haven't posted in a while be on the look out in the coming weeks for several new taps (providing some of the beers on tap get drank). Here's a list of some of the beer to look forward to over the next couple of months.

Baptized by Fire - this is an english red ale. Smooth and easy drinking with a much maltier backbone than its American cousin 5.25%ABV
MattStar - this is the first of our Patron Inspiration Series Beers and profiles Matt Junak. This is a hugely rich Belgian Imperial Stout with a roasted malt backbone and dried fruit character. ~8% ABV
The Amazing Rando - The second in the Patron Inspiration Series this is a banana n cream stout our as we like to say a Manana N' Cream Stout....because of all the manliness in this ale. This beer is fresh into fermentation, but will hopefully have noted of coffee, bitter sweet chocolate and a sweet banana creaminess ~6ish% ABV
Cletus Joe's Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout - short and sweet, this is Kremlin Joe's RIS aged in Makers Mark Bourban Barrels for 3 or 4 months (haven't decided yet). This will be an incredibley strong bourban influenced beer. 13% ABV
Cuvee de Guerre - this is our WarChild Quadruple aged for 4 months in cherry wine barrel. This should really dry this ale out and add an even great layer of fruitiness. ~9.5% ABV
Cuvee de Brasseur batch# 2 - Over the past year we have had a funky barrel going and we have been continuously blending ales into and out of it to sour. The first batch went into bottles and is extremely limited. Recently, I decided to drain the barrel and start with a fresh base beer. So I decided to turn the second batch of Cuvee de Brasseur into a Kriek or cherry wild ale. This will be the first wild ale on tap at Bashore BrewHaus and is without a doubt the hardest type of beer to make well.....not saying ours is made well. We'll let you judge for yourself. ?? ABV
Finally, look for the second release of Pineapple Express in early spring.....this there will be 5 gallons and it will be on tap!!
