UpComing Online Store

I know, I know, what a corney idea! But seriously, how cool would it be to wear a t-shirt with your favorite fictional brewing company and basement bar on the front or back.....SWEEEEEEET! Anyway, with the help of Mr. Randy Flick 2 we are in the process of putting together an online store for the sole purpose of making sure all of our friends look good, and a little BEER KARMA never hurts. So far we've only had ideas for logo shirt and long sleeve shirts. I would like to get some feedback from you on what type of merchandise you would be interested in owning. As soon as the store is up and running I'll pass the link on to you so you can order to your hearts content.

Cheers,
Matt

Matt's Top 10 Beers

So I wanted to post my current top 10 favorite beers. This entry will be constantly evolving because I drink a lot of beer. I just wanted to post something that would serve as a reference for those of you wanting to try some new brews or comment on the ones that I like. Also, feel free to post your top 10 in comments, I'd love to know what you drink.

1. Kentucky Breakfast Stout aka KBS - Founders Brewing Company - Grand Rapids, Michigan
*** No beer like it, this will probably always be #1
2. Oro De Calabaza - Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales - Dexter, Michigan
***Amazing Sour Belgian Golden Ale
3. Short's Cup A Joe Coffee Coffee Stout - Short's Brewing Company - Bellaire, Michigan
***Only available at the brewery currently, but well worth the drive
4. Pannepot - Old Fisherman's Ale - De Struise Brouwers - Belgium
***A complex, sweet Belgian Quadruple
5. Pure Hoppiness - Alpine Beer Company - Alpine, California
***The best tasting Hoppy beer I've ever had...to date
6. Coffee Bender - Surly Brewing Company - Brooklyn Center, Minnesota
***I've only had it once, but if left quiet an impression
7. Perseguidor - Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales - Dexter, Michigan
***Rare/amazing, if they made this beer more than once ever couple years it could be my favorite!
8. Dark Horse Perkulator Coffee Dopplebock - Dark Horse Brewing Company - Marshall, MI
***Amazing Coffee beer and extremely drinkable
9. Alesmith Speedway Stout - Alesmith Brewing Company - San Diego, California
***Great complex stout, the closest I've come to KBS #1
10. Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier - Brauerei Weihenstephan - Freising, Germany
***My favorite summertime delight, amazing wheat beer!

As you can see, I'm a big fan of Michigan Beer, search them out, each and everyone is amazing and be sure to check back. I have a lot more beers to try and we'll see if any of them move into the top ten.

Change is Good

Hello everyone, this is the first update to this blog. There are some big changes coming up in the next week at the BrewHaus. Last weekend we got our foot rail in for the bar. In addition, bar stools are on order and should be here later this week, so hopefully this weekend or early next week both of these items will become permanent fixtures at the bar. Furthermore, I started the process of installing 3 more taps last night to bring the tap total to 6 at the bar. This project should hopefully be completed this weekend. I am still waiting on a chalkboard to put up behind the bar....I had a few issues with the first one
Be on the lookout for the March Update early next week with all of the details about Irene's Birthday at Dave and Buster's and The St. Patty's Day Party. Check back to this blog as often as you like and please leave comments, the more input the better! With this site, you should be able to check on the goings on at Bashore BrewHaus from the monthly updates, Facebook, and now the blog.
Cheers,
Matt & Irene
