3 Floyd's Dark Lord Day 2010 April 24th

Dark Lord Day 2010 will be on April 24th.

Dark Lord Day is the only day of the year to buy Three Floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial stout. DLD is a festival where participants can meet other beer enthusiasts, sample beers from all over the world, buy Dark Lord, try Oak Aged Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout, eat BBQ, listen to live music, and generally have a great time. Visit http://www.darklordday.com/ for more information.

The only way to ensure that you'll get some Darklord is to purchase a ticket online. The proceeds from the sale of these tickets go to a local charity. These tickets will go on sale on March 17th. The time of the sale is yet to be announced. We will announce the sales details of the tickets on Twitter followed by posts on the Darklord day web site as well as the Rate Beer and Beer Advocate web sites.

Golden tickets went on sale at 8:05pm EST on March 17th and the servers quickly crumbled under the traffic. Within about an hour the tickets were gone.

You can still come out to Dark Lord Day and have a fun time at the event, and if there is still Dark Lord left at 5pm sales will open to anyone without a golden ticket.

Additional details will be added as they become available.

Now on Tap 4/13/10

Cuvee de Guerre

9.5% ABV

New on tap this week is Cuvee de Guerre or loosely translated "War from Wine". Cuvee de Guerre is our winter quadruple, WarChild aged for 4 months on French Oak staves that have been soaked in cherry wine. For the sake of simplicity we'll just say that Cuvee de Guerre was aged for 4 months in cherry wine barrels. This offering is rather limited as only 3 gallons of this beer was produced. Make sure to stop in an grab a pour before it's all gone forever.

New Poll Question

I know its been a while, but there is a new poll question posted on the blog. I have a few beers that have been aging for quit some time because I haven't had room to put them on tap and I'm considering bottling at least one of them.....thats where the poll came from.

Cheers!
